How does MixRank track web tags?

MixRank scans websites for known code that is associated with the specific technology. For example, if a website uses Intercom (a chatbot automation solution), a specific set of code has to be integrated into it for Intercom to run properly on the website.

MixRank data analysts identify the unique code that Intercom uses, and MixRank then scans each website (over 65M of them) to see if a website has that code running.

Once we find a match, MixRank can confidently say that a website uses Intercom (or any other technology).
