How does this work? 

In this model a customer gets access to a PostgreSQL database hosted by us. Customer saves on significant hosting costs, and saves time and complexity by delegating database administration and operations to us.

What steps are required from the user’s side? 

The client needs to download and install ZeroTier (vpn) and join the network shared with them. MixRank eng will set up a network custom to each client.
