What is the MixRank Rank?

Some vendors use the MAU/DAU as a metric of how important an app is. In our extensive analysis, we’ve found that this number can often be highly skewed based on the way it is calculated and extrapolated. So, MixRank created the MixRank Rank, a proprietary score to rank apps based on 2 parameters; 

  1. App Performance Metrics that can be tracked: This included In-App Purchase Revenues and App Downloads. 
  2. Company Performance: How many people work there? How has that trend been changing? Are they hiring/firing people? 
And we’ve found that using a combination of these 2 parameters gives us a good understanding of whether an app and the publisher behind that app are growing.
